Research Interests

  • Regenerative agriculture and sustainable soil management
  • Mitigation of agricultural impacts on climate change
  • Use of audiomedia in dissemination of scientific research
  • Historic First Nations agricultural practices and indigenous ways of knowing


My Master’s project focused on on climate adaptation strategies for organic vegetable growers in B.C., investigating impacts of overwinter soil management strategies; fallow, tarped, and cover cropped. Currently, I coordinate the Vancouver Island winter vegetable variety trial and am the project lead developing the B.C. cover crop database.
